I just hope games in the future that will support HDR comes up with a standard when enabling HDR where you don't have to fiddle with game settings-a way to just automatically enable HDR the correct way regardless of what game is launched/played. In FFXV, HDR works better for me having the HDR settings on Windows 10 turned off while this doens't seem to be the case in Shadow Warrior 2. It doesn't seem to work exactly the same on games that supports it. HDR is still kinda new tech for PC monitors. The screenshots still doesn't look as good as what I see in HDR mode while playing the game but at least far better than the washed out ones when HDR is enabled when taking screenshots. I had to disable "HDR and WGC settings" in Windows 10 and manually calibrate my monitor display settings. Thanks for the explanation! After trying different combination of settings, I was able to almost replicate HDR-like appearance while playing the game and still make decent screenshots. Thats why most of the people hate hdr because what they see is an oversaturated, touched-up capture. Your screenshot is washed out because hdr metadata is not captured.Īnd an hdr screenshot of games wihtout its metada is usually only a poor attempt to make them more vibrant and hdr-like without even close to how the real thing appear. (hdr capture of xbox live as far as i know only supports xbox and not win10) and view team with something like hdr image viewer In windows you can only capture hdr data for screensot with ansel raw (exr file format) Originally posted by hleyomac:thats the nature of hdr screenshot.
